How to Talk to a Human

Let’s face it: we suck at talking to people. We just suck. And it feels like we’re getting worse. We’re more polarized, less tolerant, more in our heads, and less vulnerable. So, conversations can feel, well, hard. Which is why we teamed up with Jad Abumrad, who has spent the past 20 years building some of the biggest public radio shows and podcasts out there to create a whole new experience.

How to Talk to a Human gets to the core of having easy, impactful, and productive 1-on-1 exchanges. We’ll practice listening, dealing with adversity, and sharing unique and different points of view to make you a better manager, colleague, friend, and overall human.

It is so easy, and often expected, in today's world to do 10 things at once, that true presence and active listening have become not only rare but difficult to practice. Feedback

“How to Talk to a Human was a fun opportunity to have conversations with people we don't work with day to day and don't normally get to have conversations with. The platform is engaging, utilizing different presentation styles and activities to keep it interesting. It left us with much to think about and consider regarding communications in our work and personal lives.”

“BAR Architects & Interiors has been delighted with the ripple effect Jad’s How to Talk to Humans has had across our organization. We knew the program would be fun and insightful; what we didn’t expect was the amount of actionable take-aways and a measurable boost in means of engagement. One month later and our Senior Associates continue to refer back to specific content and weave new layers of engagement across our community of practice. Everyone should do this workshop!”

Boot Barn’s Creative Adventure for a Cause

Have you ever experienced a corporate event that combines philanthropy with creativity, all while celebrating a shared mission? Imagine a gathering where attendees don cowboy hats, recreate iconic art poses, and contribute to a meaningful cause—all in the vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas! Well, that’s exactly what we achieved with Boot Barn at their latest event, their third collaboration with us. After a fun lip dub a couple of years ago and a spirited game show earlier this year, we took their vision to new heights at the Southpoint Casino and Resort.boot-barn-saloon-pic-2024-09-19-08-08-49

This time, the event centered around giving back, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Attendees dove into our Classic Adventure, where they recreated iconic art poses and scenes from historical ballets, all while snapping fun photos at their very own western saloon installation. The energy was contagious, sparking laughter and camaraderie among participants.

The highlight of the event was the assembly of 5,000 backpacks filled with thoughtful items like a plush pony, Chapstick, and a bandanna. These backpacks were donated to the Shea Center, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through horse-related programs. Each backpack represented not just a gift, but a tangible way for Boot Barn’s team to impact their community positively.

The event was a perfect blend of creativity, teamwork, and heart, fostering a sense of purpose that resonated with everyone involved. Attendees left feeling energized, inspired, and proud of their contributions.

Our team had an amazing time bringing Boot Barn’s vision to life and creating an event that was not only memorable but also made a real difference in the community. Let us help you design your next event to be just as impactful and unforgettable!
