In May we'll enjoy a presentation by JP LeBreton and Brandon Dillon from Double Fine Productions, the famous video game company whose adventure game Broken Age ushered in the age of breakout-successful Kickstarter game projects.
JP LeBreton is an experienced game designer and the Project Lead of Spacebase DF-9, a base-building game...in SPACE!...currently on Steam Early Access. He was the Lead Designer of The Cave, a Double Fine adventure game in partnership with Ron Gilbert, creator of the classic adventure game series Monkey Island.
Brandon Dillon is the Project Lead of Hack n' Slash, a puzzle action game about cheating, hacking, and reverse engineering your way to victory. Hack ānā Slash allows non-programmer players to experience the same sense of mystery and discovery that Brandon experienced while venturing into the digital hearts of his favorite games with hex editors and emulators.
JP and Brandon will share some of their experiences and thoughts as adventure videogame designers, and aspects relevant to real-world adventure design.
In addition, we're having this session at an exciting venue in South Park that will be shared with RSVP'd attendees a few days before the event.
